On June 24, an event was held on the theme "Healthy lifestyle, healthy thinking, successful future" in connection with the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the UN World Anti-Narcotics Day in Agdash district in accordance with the Joint Action Plan for 2024 of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Central Office, "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking.
First, flowers were arranged in front of the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, the National Leader of our people, and the dear memory of the Great Leader was commemorated. Later, the Heydar Aliyev Center was visited.
At the event held at the district Heydar Aliyev Center, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute"s silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
Alishah Rajabov, chairman of the NAP Agdash district organization, Zakiya Musayeva, head of the gender policy and youth work department of the NAP Central Office, head of the Legal Department of the office of the head of the Agdash District Executive Power, Shirazi Gasimzade, secretary of the Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs under the National Police, Shirazi Gasimzade, head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Illegal Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs,Ragif Allahverdiyev, and Vusal Jabbarov, head of department of Sumgayit City Drug Dispensary of the Ministry of Health, doctor-narcologist Vusal Jabbarov spoke at the event.
The speakers first spoke about the importance of the glorious victory won by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces, which achieved the restoration of our territorial integrity and sovereignty, and about the incomparable examples of heroism of the sons of the Motherland.
In their speeches, the speakers noted the importance of education in the fight against drug addiction and the importance of propaganda to protect teenagers and young people from harmful habits. It was emphasized that the "2019-2024 State Program on Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Combating Drug Addiction" approved by President Ilham Aliyev is of great importance in terms of systematic struggle with this problem. For the sake of a healthy society, harmful habits the fight against is always relevant. In modern times, protecting young people from harmful habits is an important challenge. "Young people should give priority to gaining more knowledge and a healthy lifestyle, and at the same time, they should know how harmful and dangerous drug addiction is."
It was also brought to attention that increasing the interest of our teenagers and young people in education, science, and sports is an important factor in their getting away from harmful habits.
The event continued in an interactive form and the questions of the participants were answered.
At the end, the Anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party was played.
