In Absheron region, a training session was held on the topic "Mechanisms of combating drug addiction in secondary general education schools".

On September 10 of this year, a training was held on "Mechanisms of fighting drug addiction in secondary general education schools" in the Absheron district Heydar Aliyev Center that was organized by the Absheron District Executive Power and  organization of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics.

Totaling 200 individuals including the Deputy Head of the Absheron District Executive Authority, Gulnar Rahimova, the responsible employee of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking, Vasif Guliyev, the doctor-psychologist of the Republican Narcological Center of the Ministry of Health, Ramin Allahverdiyev, the trainer-psychologist Minara Sabzaliyeva, teachers and school psychologists from the secondary general education schools of Absheron District, class leaders, as well as volunteers from the Absheron District Executive Authority, participated at the event.

Gulnar Rahimova, the deputy head of the Absheron DEP, noted in her speech that the fight against drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan is defined as a national task, and that a complex fight is being carried out to solve the illegal trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, and the problems of drug addiction.

Then Vasif Guliyev, the responsible employee of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, Ramin Allahverdiyev, a psychologist of the Republican Narcotics Center, specialist in addiction, psychotherapist Ramin Allahverdiyev, trainer-psychologist Minare Sabzaliyeva and Vusala Safarova, a psychologist of the Digah village school of Absheron region made a speech, provided extensive information on methods of combating drug addiction, the importance of increasing knowledge and professionalism regarding drug dependence, the risk factors associated with the use of these substances, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, the stages of forming drug addiction, and the need for school psychologists to conduct individual explanatory work with adolescents in risk groupsas well as they emphasized the importance of anti-drug propaganda and discussed various methods for combating drug addiction.

At the end of the event, participants were presented with a booklet d "Methodological recommendations to assist in identifying individuals who misuse narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances," and with necessary propaganda materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
