A training session has been organized in the Absheron district.

In collaboration with the Absheron District Executive Authority and the State Commission for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking, a training on "Mechanisms for Combating Drug Addiction in General Education Schools" was held on September 11 of this year at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Absheron district. The event was attended by more than 200 participants, including Gulnar Rahimova, Deputy Head of the Absheron District Executive Authority, Vasif Guliyev, a responsible employee of the permanent working group of the State Commission for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking, Ramin Allahverdiyev, a psychologist from the Republican Narcology Center, Minara Sabzaliyeva, a training psychologist, teachers and school psychologists from Absheron district"s general education schools, class leaders and volunteers from the Absheron District Executive Authority.

In her speech, Gulnar Rahimova emphasized that the fight against drug addiction and the illegal trafficking of narcotics is defined as a national duty in the Republic of Azerbaijan. She noted that a comprehensive struggle is being conducted to address the issues of illegal trafficking of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, and their precursors, as well as drug addiction problems.

Subsequently, Vasif Guliyev, Ramin Allahverdiyev, Minara Sabzaliyeva, and Vusala Safarova, a psychologist from the Digah village school in Absheron district, spoke about methods of combating drug addiction, increasing knowledge and professionalism regarding drug dependence, risk factors associated with the use of these substances, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, the stages of forming drug dependence, and the importance of individual explanatory work with adolescents in risk groups by school psychologists. They also discussed the importance of anti-drug propaganda and various methods for combating drug addiction.

At the end of the event, necessary promotional materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission were presented to the participants.
