According to Article 32.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on "Circulation of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances, and Their Precursors" and the amendments to this law made by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 28, 2024, № 1197-VIQD, as well as changes in some decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 5, 2024, No. 173, a Commission has been restructured for the destruction of large and especially large quantities of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, and their precursors that have been removed from illegal circulation or confiscated.

Additionally, in accordance with subparagraphs 1.3.3 and 1.4.3 of the mentioned Decree, the formation of commissions at the district (city) level for the destruction of small and significant quantities of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, and their precursors that have been removed from illegal circulation or confiscated has been assigned to local executive authorities by the State Commission.
