An event was held in the city of Barda on the theme "Moral and physical health is the guarantee of our future" according to the Joint Action Plan for 2024 of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking.
At the event held in the Barda District Culture Center, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played first. The dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was commemorated with respect.
During the event, the chairman of the YAP Barda district organization, Fəqət Şadlinskaya, the head of the Gender Policy and Youth Affairs Department of the NAP Central Apparatus, Zəkiyyə Musayeva, the head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking, Raqif Allahverdiyev, the head of the Sumgayit City Narcological Dispensary, doctor-narcologist Vüsal Cabbarov, and the advisor of the Legal Department of the Barda District Executive Authority , as well as the secretary of the Commission for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking under the RİH, Natiq Səfərov, emphasized the importance of conducting educational events in the fight against drug addiction.
In the speeches, it was stated that educational work is an effective tool, statistical data on the measures implemented in this field were presented. At the same time, it was brought to attention that in the "2019-2024 State Program on Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Combating Drug Addiction" approved by President Ilham Aliyev, a special place is devoted to education issues.
The questions of young people were answered at the interactive event.
The participants of the event were given visual resources prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission in order to promote the fight against drug addiction.
The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party.
