On October 17 of this year, the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics and the Absheron Region Executive Power jointly organized a training on the topic of "Prevention of Drug Addiction among Adolescents" for distinguished psychologists of secondary schools.
The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Absheron Region Executive Power, the Chairman of the Regional Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics, the responsible employee of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics, training psychologists, psychologists of secondary schools of the region, as well as volunteers from the Absheron Regional Administrative Organization.
The main goal of the training was to provide the participants with extensive information on important topics such as risk factors for the use of psychoactive substances, addiction and socio-psychological factors that cause addiction in adolescents, stages of drug addiction formation, physiological symptoms and emotional behavioral changes that occur during the use of psychoactive substances, initial steps to be taken to prevent schoolchildren from using PAS (psychoactive substances), individual explanatory work by school psychologists with adolescents belonging to the risk group, preparation of an action plan for the effective organization of students" leisure time at school, and the importance of anti-drug propaganda, and discussions were held on questions of interest to the participants.
At the end, the participants were presented with certificates prepared jointly by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics and the Absheron District Executive Power.
