Another intellectual competition was organized among students to form an anti-drug worldview.

An intellectual competition against the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and drug addiction was organized on November 29 of this year at the Garadagh Youth House with the joint organization of the Permanent Working Group of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the State Commission in connection with the implementation of subparagraph 4.4.25 of the Action Plan of the “State Program for 2019–2024 on the Fight against Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Drug Addiction”, in order to form an anti-drug worldview of students.

The Permanent Working Group of the State Commission, the Lead Consultant of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Senior Consultant of the Public Development Sector of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and a doctor-psychologist from the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health made a speech in the competition and also delivered presentations to raise awareness among youth about drug addiction. The interactive training, aimed at increasing knowledge about drug addiction, covered the risk factors of drug use, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health, the stages of the development of drug addiction, the importance of anti-drug propaganda, and methods for combating drug addiction.

As a result of the training, an intellectual competition was organized with the participation of students. Seven teams, each consisting of five members, were formed, and questions were presented in three stages. In an exciting and competitive environment, the teams "Iron Fist," "Victory," "Star," "Hidden," "Karabakh," "Summit," and "Winners" participated in the competition. The students from school №228 ("Iron Fist") emerged as the winners.

At the end of the event, the winners were awarded diplomas jointly prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Additionally, certificates were presented to the other participants.

It is planned to organize similar intellectual competitions in other regions and cities of the country.
