On December 5, an interactive training on the topic “Listen, be informed, take ownership of your future!” was organized in Salyan district within the framework of the “State Program for 2019-2024 on the fight against illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and drug addiction” in accordance with the Action Plan signed between the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics and “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” CJSC.
First, the event participants visited the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the city of Salyan and laid flowers in front of the monument.The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played at the event. The dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was commemorated with respect.
The Deputy Chairman of the Salyan District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Agshin Babayev, Head of the Gender Policy and Youth Affairs Department of the New Azerbaijan Party Central Office Zakiya Musayeva, Deputy Head of the Salyan District Executive Power, Chairman of the Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics under the Regional Executive Power Rashad Jabrayilov, Head of the National Information Sector of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission Ragif Allahverdiyev, and Department Head of the Sumgayit City Narcology Dispensary of the Ministry of Health, Doctor-Narcologist Vusal Jabbarov mde a speech at the event.
It was stated in the speeches that a resolute fight against drug addiction is being waged in Azerbaijan. Various state programs have been adopted in this direction and many projects have been implemented. It was emphasized that propaganda work is of great importance in society, especially among young people, in order to prevent harmful habits. Protecting adolescents and young people from drug addiction is one of the main conditions for ensuring a healthy future.
It was noted that the main goal of the event is to strengthen enlightenment efforts on the consequences of drug use and prevent the young generation from becoming addicted to dangerous habits.
The questions of the participants were answered during the interactive training.
Visual aids prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission to promote the fight against drug addiction were distributed to the participants of the event.
The event concluded with the singing of the Anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party.
