On December 10 of this year, an educational event on the topic of “Fighting Drug Addiction” was held by the “ Social Development Assistance” Public Association at Arif Huseynzade Secondary School № 20 in Yasamal district.

The project leader of the “Social Development Assistance” Public Association, the head of the “Anti-Drug Addiction” Public Association, the responsible representative of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics, an employee of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and a narcologist of the Baku City Narcology Center participatad at the event.

The event provided detailed information on the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people"s lives and health, moral and ethical values, and socio-economic development, increasing attention to the effective organization of leisure time, and other issues, and a discussion was held on questions of interest to students.

Finally, the necessary promotional materials, d "Know the Truth About Drugs," "The Truth About Marijuana," and "The Truth About Psychotropic Substances," prepared by the State Commission"s Permanent Working Group of the State Commission were presented to the participants.
