On December 11 of this year, an educational event on the topic of “Fighting Drug Addiction” was held by the “Social Development Assistance” Public Association at at Mikayil Mushfig Secondary School № 18 in Yasamal district.

The project leader of the “ Social Development Assistance” Public Association, the head of the “Youth Anti-Drug Addiction” Public Association, the responsible representative of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics, an employee of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and a narcologist participated at the event.

The event provided detailed information on the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people"s lives and health, moral values, and socio-economic development, increasing attention to the effective organization of leisure time, and other issues, and discussions were held on questions of interest to students.

Finally, the booklet "Methodological recommendations to assist in identifying persons abusing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" and other necessary visual aids, prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission, were presented to the participants.
