On December 13 of this year, an educational event on the topic of “Fighting Drug Addiction” was held by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics and the “ Social Development Assistance ” Public Association at secondary school № 286 in Yasamal district.

 The project leader of the “ Social Development Assistance  ” Public Association, the head of the “Youth Anti-Drug Addiction” Public Association, the deputy head of the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics, a responsible employee of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a representative of the Yasamal District Executive Power, and a narcologist from the Baku City Narcology Center participated at the event.

The event provided detailed information on the role of the state in organizing the fight against drug addiction and illicit drug trafficking, the effective organization of youth leisure time, the risk factors of drug use, the negative effects of drug addiction on people"s lives and health, moral and ethical values, and socio-economic development, and other issues. Discussions were held around questions of interest to students, and distinguished students were awarded with various booklets, folders, and pencils.

 At the end, a booklet d "Methodological recommendations for assisting in the identification of persons abusing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances" and other necessary visual aids prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission  were presented to the participants.
