The organization of online zone seminars on "Strengthening the fight against drug addiction among young people during the Covid-19 pandemic" arranged by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in February and March of this year in order to ensure the implementation of the relevant items of the "State Program of Azerbaijan Youth 2017-2021" and the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2019-2024"was completed.

   Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Tanriverdi Aydinov, Chief of the Main Drug Control Department of the Interior Ministry Islam Humbatov, Director of the Republican Narcology Center Orkhan Jafarov and  Deputy Head of the Center for Public Health and Reforms of the Ministry of Health Ulker Jamalova made a speech and informed the youth in this area.

    Heads of youth and sports departments of more than 70 regions of Baku, Aran, South, Guba-Khachmaz, Sheki-Zagatala, Ganja-Gazakh, Absheron and Mountainous Shirvan, Karabakh and surrounding areas, the directors of Youth Homes and Youth Development and Career Centers took part in the seminars,spoke about the work done in this direction and made suggestions.

     In total, about 1,000 young people participated in the seminars.
