An event on "Analysis of the work carried out in the fight against drugs in Sumgayit" was held at the "Heydar Aliyev Center" in Sumgayit in connection with the “June 26-International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking ”organized by the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking and the Sumgayit City Executive Power on 25.06.2021.

    The event was attended by First Deputy Mayor of Sumgayit Teymur Samadov, member of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, President of the National Non-Governmental Organization Rauf Zeyni, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking Tanrıverdi Aydınov,Sumgayit Deputy Chief of the Police Department Rauf Babashov, Head of the Education Department of Sumgayit Arzu Alizade, Chief of the Youth and Sports Department of Sumgayit Elgun Humbatov, Head of the Legal Department of the Sumgayit City Executive Power Laiga Hidayatova, Imam of the Juma Mosque of Sumgayit Rauf Sardarov, Doctor of Sumgayit Narcological Dispensary Vusal Jabbarov, spoke on the topic and at the same time the sides exchanged views on the role of the state in the organization of measures to combat drug addiction and drug trafficking, the legislative framework governing this area, the work done by the State Programs, the Working Group and relevant agencies and the results achieved.

   At the end, a video on the “802” Hotline prepared by the Working Group of the State Commission was shown and the necessary propaganda materials were distributed among the participants.
