In accordance with paragraph 4.4.17 of the Action Plan for the implementation of the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2019-2024", on December 9 this year, the Working Group of the State Commission and Baku Eurasia University jointly organized an educational event on "The role of youth in the fight against drug addiction."

   Vice-rector of Baku Eurasia University, member of the State Commission and President of the National NGO Forum, sector head of the Working Group of the State Commission, representatives of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency and the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health spoke at the event and  students were provided with necessary information about the risk factors of drug use, the stages of drug dependence, the characteristics of psychoactive substances and their harmful effects on health.

   At the end, the participants were presented with a booklet on "Methodical recommendations to help identify drug and psychotropic substance abusers" and the necessary advocacy materials prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
