An awareness-raising event was organized by Khatai District Executive Power jointly with the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission at Khatai District Secondary School № 55 on December 17 of the current year, in accordance with the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2019-2024".

    Representatives of the Khatai District Executive Power, the Working Group of State Commission, the Interior Ministry's Main Drug Control Department, the Trade Union Confederation, the Baku Narcological Dispensary, as well as the district police department and the prosecutor's office participated at the event and spoke on the topic .

   The speeches provided detailed information on the tragedies caused by drug addiction, dependence of drug addiction, the fight against illicit trafficking in psychoactive substances, the destructive effects of drugs on the human body, as well as the effective organization of leisure time of adolescents. Extensive discussions were held on the issues of interest to students.

   At the end, the participants were presented with the necessary propaganda materials on "Know the truth about drugs", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
