An awareness-raising event was organized by the Executive Power of Shamakhi region and the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on December 25 of this year in "Shamakhi State Regional College" in accordance with the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2019-2024".

  First of all, discussions were held with the members of the relevant commission on the district, and necessary recommendations were given for more effective implementation of the set tasks.

  The First Deputy Head of the Shamakhi Executive Power, representatives of the Working Group of the State Commission, as well as the district education department, youth and sports department, doctor, drug and police department participated at the event and spoke on the topic.

  The speeches provided detailed information on the tragedies caused by drug addiction,  dependence of drug addiction, the fight against illicit trafficking in psychoactive substances, the destructive effects of drugs on the human body, as well as the effective organization of leisure time of adolescents. Afterwards, there were extensive discussions on the issues of interest to students. Also, a meeting was organized with the parents of students studying at the "Shamashi State Regional College", information was provided about the "802" hotline established in the Permanent Working Wroup of the State Commission.

  At the end, the participants were presented with the necessary propaganda materials on "Know the truth about drugs", "The truth about marijuana" and "The truth about psychotropic substances" prepared by the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission.
