There has been an increase in the number of citizens' appeals received last year after regular broadcasting of social boards and videos on the activities of the "802 hotline" telephone service in metro stations, a number of streets and avenues, shopping centers, as well as through television channels.

   During the past year, the hotline received 1,130 appeals, of which 204 were related to drug trafficking, 359 were related to drug treatment, and 567 were related to other issues (repeated appeals, interpretation of legislation, compulsory treatment procedures, etc.). A total of 563 letters were sent to the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Republican Narcology Center of the Ministry of Health to take appropriate measures on the above-mentioned appeals.

   Thus, in order to prevent the spread of drugs and drug addiction through the 802 hotline, the relevant criminal cases were initiated on the basis of information provided on drug trafficking and a large amount of drugs were seized from drug traffickers. On the basis of voluntary appeals, they were directed to treatment in specialized medical institutions, psychological support was provided to families suffering from drug addiction, and the necessary recommendations were given, explaining the provisions of the existing legislation.
