An event was held on the topic "Drug addiction is a source of danger that affects the moral values of society" in accordance with the signed Joint Action Plan for 2022 of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics and "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company and with the joint initiative of the Garadagh district organization of the party.
Vugar Huseynov, deputy chairman of the YAP Garadagh district organization, who opened the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center of Garadagh district, said that drug trafficking and drug addiction are one of the problems of serious concern in the modern world, which pose a threat to people"s health and affect the moral values of society and at the same time it is a factor that has a negative impact on socio-economic development. According to him, the "State Program for 2019-2024 on Illegal Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Combating Drug Addiction" approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, is important in terms of systematic struggle with this problem
Zakiya Musayeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Gender Policy and Youth Affairs of the YAP Central Office, said in her speech that the fight against drug addiction and its prevention is not only an important issue, but also one of the most important factors in the development of healthy youth. She noted that in accordance with the Action Plan, round tables, flash mobs, sports competitions, cultural and mass events are held within the framework of educational work. The goal is to prevent harmful habits in our society.
In his speech, Emil Abbasov, the first deputy head of the Garadagh District Executive Power, the chairman of the commission for combating drug addiction and the illegal circulation of drugs operating under the head of the district Executive Power, gave information about the measures implemented in this area in the district.
Tanriverdi Aydinov, deputy head of the permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, said that the fight against drug addiction in Azerbaijan is continuous. According to him, everyone should take an uncompromising position and fight resolutely in this matter.
The representative of "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company Shahin Verdiyev noted that the health of the society is extremely important for the future of the country. In this regard, it is very important to protect the young generation from addiction to all kinds of harmful habits, especially the fight against drug addiction.
Mubariz Askerov, the Honored journalist and author of the documentary film "Black Fates", said that our entire society should be active in the fight against drug addiction. Because drug addiction is a big problem. He pointed out that the documentary film "Black Fates" is dedicated to the victims of this scourge and the heavy effects of drug addiction on human life. The film is educational in nature.
